Son and the Holy Spirit. So we speak of God as the
Trinity of three Persons. The Father loves the Son and
the Son loves the Father, and the Spirit is the love
between them.
Human language can never fully explain the mystery of
God which is beyond our total understanding. However,

THE GOSPEL IN CHURCH
Sunday 15th June 2025
Jesus said to his disciples,
“I still have many things to say to
you, but they would be too much
for you now. But when the Spirit
of truth comes, he will lead you
to the complete truth, since he
will not be speaking as from himself, but will
say only what he has learnt; and he will tell
you of the things to come. He will glorify
me, since all he tells you will be taken from
what is mine. Everything the Father has is
mine; that is why I have said: All the Spirit
tells you will be taken from what is mine.”

This Sunday’s Gospel reminds us that in the one God there are three persons. The Father
creates us, the Son saves us and the Spirit gives us life. Each of them aims to give us
perfect happiness, working in unity. Out of his great love for us, God created all people
to enjoy the life and loving relationship of the Holy Trinity – forever.
