4th November
IN UT
Jesus said, “The kingdom of heaven will be like this: Ten bridesmaids took
their lamps and went to meet the bridegroom. Five of them were foolish
and five were wise. The sensible girls took extra oil so they would be
able to refill their lamps, but the foolish ones did not. The bridegroom
was late, and they all fell asleep. When the bridegroom arrived,
they woke up and the wise bridesmaids refilled and lit their
lamps and went to the wedding hall with the bridegroom, and
the door was closed. But the lamps of the other bridesmaids
were almost empty, so they went off to try and get some
more oil. They arrived much later but couldn’t get in to the
wedding because the door was already locked.
